The language of a contract matters for its performance
I provide language support to companies preparing or pursuing cooperation with Ukrainian partners, including projects related to Ukraine's reconstruction. The service is intended for contractors, suppliers, investors and the law firms advising them. I combine translation training with education in international economic relations, management and accounting.
01Tendering and bid preparation
Registration documents, powers of attorney, contractor declarations, participation requirements, enquiries and responses. Before commissioning, we establish the contracting authority's requirements and the documents requiring certification.
02Contracts, supplies and subcontracting
Contracts, attachments, scope of work, schedules, payment terms, guarantees and addenda. An agreed glossary of names and terms helps maintain consistency throughout Polish–Ukrainian documentation.
03Negotiations and working meetings
Interpreting conversations with a Ukrainian partner, representatives and advisers. An agenda, materials and preparation time are needed before the meeting; remote participation or travel requires agreement.
04Acceptance, settlements and disputes
Acceptance records, invoices, statements, payment demands, complaints and correspondence for a law firm. In translation, I preserve references to the contract, dates, amounts and version sequence.
Certification suited to the purpose
Not every commercial contract requires a sworn translation. The form depends on the recipient, procedure and applicable law. My Polish registration TP/27/17 covers Ukrainian. Documents for a Ukrainian contracting authority or foreign institution require a separate check of the accepted form; Polish certification does not mean automatic acceptance abroad.
Ongoing cooperation on a project
At the outset, we identify who approves terminology, entity names, version order and how changes are marked. For larger document packages, we agree stages and priorities. A quotation requires information about the languages, volume, recipient and project deadlines. Translation supports lawyers and technical specialists; it does not replace their opinions.
